Mews and Nips: Washington, DC Gets Its First Cat Convention

meowdc

It’s about time! On April 27, Washington, DC is going to the cats. MeowDC, the city’s first cat convention, is designed for everyone from the devoted cat lover to the fly-by feline fan. Featuring talks about everything from community cats to cat behavior, adorable cats and kittens looking for their forever home, and lots and lots of cat-themed shopping, there’s something for everyone at MeowDC. All proceeds will benefit the Humane Rescue Alliance. Each month, HRA helps nearly 400 local homeless animals get adopted and 565 animals get spayed or neutered. For more information and to get your tickets, visit MeowDC.org.

If you missed any of the stories featured on the Conscious Cat this week, here’s a recap: on Sunday, we celebrated St. Patrick’s Day, on Monday, a veterinary dentist provided comprehensive information about feline anesthesia, on Tuesday, we featured an adorable cat lawn ornament, on Wednesday, we showed you Allegra and Ruby’s kitchen antics, and on Friday, we reviewed Gwen Cooper’s newest short story, Love in a Cold Climate. And don’t forget to enter our giveaway to win natural remedies from BestLife4Pets!

The interaction between the two cats in today’s video is something that could have happened between Allegra and Ruby. The look on the cat’s face on the bottom rung is priceless!

Have a great weekend!
