2020 Guide to Dog-Friendly Farmers Markets in Colorado



Today we’re yappin’ about the seasonal shopping experience known as the farmers market, and the only thing that makes this harvest hunt better is having a furry pal by your side while you sniff out the scene, paw-ruse produce at its peak, and pick up other tempting edibles and handmade goods.

Woof to the wise: non-retractable leashes are a must as is a stash of poo bags. Be safe! Bring a mask and a supply of water, take time to seek out shade on steamy days, and for the love of dog, do not hit the pavement if the temp is intolerable for pupper paws.

Without further a-doo, here are dog-friendly farmers markets in Colorado where you can support the local lot with your pup in tow:

CHERRY CREEK FARMERS MARKET | Saturdays 8 a.m. – 1 p.m., June 6 – November 14

Flowers, produce, and curated gourmet products? Pup yeah! Plus, this market has free parking and supports local non-profits. Pawlease bring your facemask or check out the website to preorder for pickup.

FOUR SEASONS FARMERS AND ARTISAN MARKET | Saturdays 9 a.m.- 1 p.m.

Visit Four Seasons Market for organic produce, artisan food, and pup-lovin’ vendors. Your dog might even be featured on its website! Visit the site or Facebook page to shop in advance.

HIGHLAND FARMERS MARKET | Sundays 9 a.m.- 1 p.m., May 31 – October 11

Head over to Highland Farmers Market fur your classic farmers market goodies. Woof to the wise: a few dog-focused vendors sell fresh-made treats for doggos, too.

OLD SOUTH PEARL STREET FARMERS MARKET | Sundays 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., May 17 – November 15

If you’re sniffing for food, re-tail, and services, this is the market for you. With extra safety precautions, Old South Pearl Street has brought back shopper faves like knife sharpening, florists, and more. Woofhoo!

STAPLETON FARMERS MARKET | Sundays 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., June 7 -October 11

Seasonal greens, specialty meats, and more. Plus, this market helps give back with donations to Colorado non-profits. NOTE: Masks are required at this market so if you don’t have one please sit and stay (at home).

UNION STATION FARMERS MARKET | Open 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. daily, June 13 – October 24

Visit the website to reserve a time slot for this market! With (p)oodles of fresh produce, gourmet food, and homegrown products, you won’t want to miss out. NOTE: Live music and demos are currently postponed, keep an eye on the website for updates.

UNIVERSITY HILLS PLAZA MARKET | Saturdays 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., June 20 – October 17

Your pup’ll love exploring these local vendors for snaccos. Plus, this market is just a short walk from local parks. Pick up noms and take your pooch on a picnic!
