Remembering Binga
Yes, it has been a whole year since we lost Binga. And I thought I would share some photos from the last months of her life. Unlike a lot of cats and people, age didn’t really slow her down much or mellow her out. Sure, she had old lady creaks and the occasional medical problem that needed to be addressed. But nothing stopped her from enjoying life.
Nothing stopped her photo bombing either.
She enjoyed going out on a leash, something she didn’t even learn how to do until she was 15. And while she learned it from me, she had her own, riskier approach to her outside adventures.
I think this was from her last outing. She may have been feeling unwell on this day because she didn’t want to stay out for very long.
And she was game about wearing outfits nearly until the end. This photo is from less than two weeks before she was gone. Somehow she was able to wear clothes willingly and still be ornery about it.
And of course, this is one of the series from the photo session the night before my human had to call the home vet. Binga was lucky in that she really didn’t have to suffer much, or for long. The tumor that ended her life came on so suddenly, but also left no doubt that it was time.
I wish the quality of these photos was better, but I tried using ones you haven’t seen before. We still miss her lots.
