3 Things to Do With Your Dog This Weekend in Denver

With about a foot of snow falling in Denver each March, it’s no wonder you’ll wanna find somewhere to hygge with your hound. Here are three dog-friendly weekend dates we’re tossing out for you to catch:

Neighborhood Healthy Pet Clinic (Saturday, March 9, 1 to 3 p.m.) Okay, so this one’s not your dog’s idea of fun, but sometimes you just gotta do the dang thing to keep him at his puppin’ best. Head over to the Wag N’ Wash in Aurora for a quick, no-appointment-needed check-up with the Journeys Mobile Veterinary Services—just be sure to avoid the word “vet” on your way there. Services range from $20 to $66 and include everything from rabies vaccines to microchipping. Make sure to let your pooch pick out a pet-friendly lollipop after his shots!

Reggae Night at the Watering Bowl (Saturday, March 9, 7 p.m. to 12 a.m.) Ruff week? Join the Denver Watering Bowl crew for a stress-free Saturday night filled with brews (for you), belly rubs (for your dog), and live reggae music from the Mountain Lion Dynasty band. With 7,000 square feet of fully-fenced, private dog park, two fully stocked bars, and an amazing yappy hour, you two won’t need to go barking anywhere else Saturday night.

Open Swim at the Canine Rehabilitation & Conditioning Group (Saturday, March 9, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, March 10, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.)  This winter’s been cold as heck and your pup just wants to play! Help her get that burst of energy out at one of Colorado’s largest public, heated, indoor pools. With locations in Englewood and Broomfield, there’s no way your furbaby won’t make new friends while splashing in the pup-pool. Just schedule one orientation meeting before your first visit, then it’s $15 per swim. Pool fetch, anyone?
