Spring is just around the corner! If you’re looking for a way to celebrate our feline friends this month, here are some fun March 2020 cat events.
All Year: CatVideoFest
CatVideoFest2020 is coming to a theater near you. Get your claws in this compilation reel of the latest and best cat videos culled from countless submissions, sourced animations, music videos and classics from the internet. And it’s for a good cause – CatVideoFest raises money and awareness for cats in need around the world, with a percentage of the proceeds from each event going to local cat charities. March 7-8: The Long Island Pet Expo
Cats, dogs, birds, bunnies, reptiles and pet lovers of all ages are heading to this annual pet event taking place in Suffolk Community College Expo Center in Brentwood, New York. The International Cat Association (TICA) will be there with cat breed information and lots of beautiful cats. Looking to adopt? March 12-15: Atlanta Pet Fair and Conference
For pet service professionals looking for more education, certifications, products and connections, the Southeast’s largest professional pet show is for you, taking place at the Georgia International Convention Center in College Park, Georgia. March 13-15: Annual All About Cats Expo
The All About Cats Expo takes place during the 25thAnnual Columbus Pet Expo at the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus, Ohio. See pet competition shows, pet product vendors and rescue groups – plenty to entertain you and your pet-loving family. Animals include cats (of course!), dogs, birds, bunnies, fish and more. The expo is in conjunction with the TICA All-Breed and Household Pet Cat Show. There will be seven rings with seating to watch inside the Ohio Building. March 14: Pup Plaza Microchip Event
Whether you have a cat or dog, stop by Pup Plaza in San Jose, California, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. to have your pet microchipped. For $20 (including insertion and registration), get peace of mind knowing that your pet has permanent identification. Bring all pets on leash or in a carrier. Walk-ins are welcome. Of course, you’ll get hands-on fun with lots of cats, dogs, birds, reptiles and small critters through the many demonstrations, presentations, breed clubs and rescue groups. March 21: Greater Baton Rouge Cat Club’s Annual Cat Show
Take the opportunity to see lots of different cats breeds (everything from Abyssinians to Siberians) at Greater Baton Rouge Cat Club’s 46thAnnual Cat Show. Along with purebreds, there is also a special category for household pets. And don’t miss the vendors – you’ll find all kinds of gift and cat-related items like scratching posts, toys and jewelry. Cats and kittens will be available for adoption, and several rescue groups will be participating, including Cat Haven, CAWWS and Cara’s House.
