Cat Finds Love in Rescued Kittens After Living a Rough Life on the Streets
A cat who has spent years on the streets, is so happy to be loved again.
Alley Cat Rescue
Harrow the cat ended up outside in South Los Angeles after his owner passed away. He kept trying to go back to his old home, begging to go inside but was sadly shunned away.
The outdoor life was very tough on him. His face and body were covered in battle scars and his left ear withered due to infections.
TNR (trap-neuter-return) rescuers of Alley Cat Rescue in Los Angeles were working in the area when they learned about his plight. Without hesitation, they took him off the streets and into their care.

"His hair was all matted and his one ear is totally mangled. He has stomatitis and his teeth are broken off," Alley Cat Rescue shared with Love Meow. "He is an intact male cat, never neutered. He has really been through the wars."
Harrow was diagnosed as a neglected cat in semi-starvation mode, low in protein, anemic, and with a severe upper respiratory infection (URI).

The tabby boy was so grateful to be helped that he couldn't stop purring. "Despite being treated so badly, he purred throughout his examination at the vet and talked to the staff in the clinic."
There were many times they thought he would not make it, but Harrow kept surprising them with his amazing resolve. "He is here and willing to fight, so we are going to support him and fight with him."

After a few weeks of recovery, Harrow beat the nasty URI and gained weight and strength. They gave him a makeover so he could start anew with a nice clean coat. The sweet tabby rolled around purring while getting the hair cut.
"After six days of removing all of his matted hair, this gentle giant got a much needed shower. He was an angel, he loves the rubs and purred the whole way through," Alley Cat Rescue said.

The sweet cat is now getting a plethora of love from other kitties at the rescue.
When he was introduced to a few foster kittens, he immediately took to them. His eyes lit up and he started to feel young again.
