Behind the Scenes With Me!
You saw yesterday how my Meow MeetUp trip went for me in my role as celebri-cat. But I thought you would enjoy seeing a few behind-the-scenes shots to find out what was going on when I wasn’t interacting with my friends and fans! So here you go.
Here is a view of my hotel room. You can see my food and water tray in the lower left hand corner. The glass table wound up getting moved so my human could work out Friday night.
My human brought Stella and Chewy freeze dried raw food for this trip, and she needed to hide the baggie somewhere I couldn’t get it. There was a free standing closet which I would walk into every time she opened the door. So this was the only way she was able to keep the food away from me. The other baggie had forks for my wet food, paper bowls, and gloves in case my human needed to deal with any messy stuff (she hates getting cat food or litter on her hands — she’s quirky like that). She just hung it with the food because it was easier to keep everything in one place.
When she went to a nearby shopping mall to pick up a couple of things, my human saw this bunny on the grass strip by the road leading to the parking lot. She never gets to see bunnies in our area (although her ex-boyfriend swears he has seen them), so she took photos. It actually stayed put for several pictures.
You saw how neat and sparse our booth was in the exhibitor’s area… but what you didn’t see was the disaster area behind the table! Since 90% of what my human packed was either cat stuff or vending items, it was easier for her to bring the whole suitcase each day. She was frequently digging through it, searching for something!
My human had a pretty miserable birthday evening coming home from the event. Chicago O’Hare is a notoriously awful airport, not to mention Los Angeles International, where we were landing. And it turned out there weren’t any really nice places to dine there. Well, there was one, but they didn’t even have prices on the menu items listed out front, so she thought it was better to pass. She wound up getting a sandwich and some awful airport cheesecake. Well, she thought it was awful. I wanted to decide for myself, although she wouldn’t let me.
The one really nice thing that happened that night was that my human came home to birthday flowers! Fortunately, the pet sitter who was taking care of Boodie brought them in from the hot sun. So in between the nice people at Meow MeetUp, and coming home, her birthday really only had a few nasty bumps.
I hope you liked these behind the scenes views!
