A kitten who was brought back from the brink, insists on staying close to the person who saved her life.

A litter of four kittens was brought to the municipal shelter in Las Vegas, and in need of rescue. One of them named Pawly was the weakest of the bunch. Rescued Treasures Cat Cafe took them in and placed them in foster care.

Pawly's siblings began to thrive being in a home environment with a dedicated caretaker, but the tiny gray kitten struggled to improve and started to decline. Patricia Lika, a foster volunteer who specializes in critical kitten care, stepped up to help.

"Her foster mom knew she had to make a decision on what's best for Pawly and reached out so the kitten can receive more intensive one-on-one care," Patricia told Love Meow.

"Pawly was extremely underweight and fragile. She had very low blood levels and an upper respiratory infection. We started her on antibiotics and around the clock critical care protocol. She was so weak and fading that it worried me it was too late."

At six weeks old, the kitten weighed only half of a pound. Despite having all the odds stacked up against her, little Pawly never gave up and was so thankful to be cared for. Patricia made her a little apartment in her bedroom, so she could keep an eye on the kitten all day and night.

"She was so sweet, purred non-stop and loved being held," Patricia added. "She was born with a back paw missing, hence the name Pawly."

After several days of painstaking care, the little warrior kitty perked up and began to thrive. She was so thrilled to discover her new-found energy, jumping and running around the room like she owned it.

"As soon as she felt better and had more energy, she came out of her shell and started to play," Patricia shared with Love Meow.

Pawly adores her foster mom and likes to follow her everywhere around the house like a little duckling.

Every morning, Patricia wakes up to little Pawly happily greeting her. At night, the kitten snuggles behind the pillows, playing hide and seek, before falling asleep next to her favorite person.

Despite having three paws, Pawly doesn't think she's any different. She can walk, run and play just like any other kitten.

"She enjoys company a lot, loves dogs, and is quite the little climber despite being born without her back paw. She gets around perfectly fine," Patricia told Love Meow.

"She follows me and my dog around like a little shadow. She loves playing with toys and cuddling in bed."

"Pawly made a full turn-around and recovery. She is such a happy-go-lucky little baby. It puts a smile on my face. She loves running around on my bed and hiding between pillows, playing and giving high fives."

The sweet kitten has taken the role as the tiny supervisor in the house. She is always intrigued by everything Patricia does, and is a great listener and the perfect little companion.

"She is also quite the little hiding ninja, her specialty is blending in and thinking I don't see her while she tries to quietly plan the most adorable kitten attack," Patricia said.

As soon as Patricia got out of the shower, Pawly came running and tried to offer a helping paw.

The little love-bug is blossoming into a happy, playful, rambunctious kitty that she should be.

"She is a very special girl and will make some family very happy one day."

Little Pawly has made great strides since she came to her foster home.

She's loving her new life as a spoiled indoor cat and enjoys tagging along with her foster mom, being her cutest little shadow.
