As we zoomie into the depths of winter, it’s helpful to have some fun stuff to look forward to each weekend. The minute you feel the tug of seasonal depawssion, leash up! There’s a whole dog-obsessed community ready to lift your spirits with fur-friendly events up the wazoo.
Puppy Playtime @ Dreadlocks for Dingoes Lowertown (11 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday, January 18) Instead of freezing at least 26 toes (10 human, 16 doggo…assuming neither of you has lost any piggies), skip the park in favor of some indoor socialization. Obvs all dogs are puppies forever regardless of age (fight us), so there’s no min or max age to join this free hour of playtime with local furkids and ‘rents.
Pop-Up Vinyl Record Sale @ Lupulin Brewing (12 to 5 p.m., Saturday, January 18) He only eats organic food, grew a beard before it was cool, and has been to several breweries some peeps have probably never even heard of, so yeah – we’re pretty sure your little hipster will enjoy a good vinyl sale. Along with sniffing 2,500+ pre-owned records, you guys can sell some of his gently used vinyl for treat money. Bring your Brewery Pass!
Crush the Can Party @ Saint Paul Brewing (3 to 7 p.m., Sunday, January 19) You’re gonna need to call an Uber Pet fur this one. Saint Paul Brewing (also on your Pass) is charging just $10 to help crush ALL of their old cans of Angry Planet APA and Northwest Passage IPA. Betcha can’t drink one dog beer (seven human beers) in four hours!
TRUCE (8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays) Whether you just need a pick-me-up or wanna go full-on cleanse, Truce is the place to get your juice (and belly rub) fix. Both the North Loop and Uptown locations welcome our furry frens inside, so be prepared to share your acai bowl again.
