Colorado Breweries That Welcome Dogs Inside

Psst: Have you fetched our Dog-Friendly Indoor Brewery Pass yet? It gets you BOGO pints at 13 breweries that welcome dogs indoors and benefits Foothills Animal Shelter–a furbulous way to get through winter with your pup.

As much as we love dog-friendly patios, sipping a brew outside isn’t always practical in the dead of winter. But just because you’re foregoing a dose of vitamin D doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice enjoying a cold one with your pup. Denver might not allow dogs in taprooms, but you don’t have to drive far outside the city limits to find a handful of breweries that’ll welcome your furry friend  for a stout or two (and isn’t it basically your job to be her personal chauf-fur anyway?). Brush up on dog-friendly taproom etiquette—then check out these breweries where the beer is always cold, the welcome is always warm, and there are always belly rubs for good doggos.

Pro tip: get FREE beer at starred (*) breweries with our latest Dog-Friendly Indoor Brewery Pass!

4 Noses Brewing Company

4 Noses doesn’t just refer to the brewery’s four founding family members, it’s also a toast to their four fur-babies: Dakota, Porter, Mash, and Cascade “Cassie” Hops. Since launching in 2014, the brewery has become known for its unique brews—Pineapple Velvet Milkshake IPA, anyone?—and supreme dog-friendliness. Pups are allowed on the patio and in the taproom, where you may find them participating in the annual dog Halloween costume contest that awards prizes for Most Creative, Most Embarrassed, and Best in Show. Neighboring shop Urban Dogg even sells 4 Noses–branded collars.

Blue Tile Brewing

At Blue Tile Brewing, taproom dogs Moose, Cali, and Boris all have their own beer recipes, which they’re more than happy to share with us humans—as long as our pups are invited, too. Keep an eye out on Facebook or Instagram for occasional dog parties, but stop by anytime for the fresh water and treat bags that await furry, four-legged patrons.

Bruz Beers*

Come for fun flavors like Double Dawg Dare IPA and Toasted Oat Stout, sit ‘n stay for yappy hours, trivia nights, and crawfish boils with your borker. P.S. He can’t wait to wag out at Wagapalooza in May (he’s already picking out his body glitter).

Welcome Home Brewery*

Local humans love this newer-to-the-scene brewery in Parker for its cozy atmosphere, rotating food truck schedule, tasty brews, and kombucha on tap. And local dogs love the pup-centric events, like Halloween trick-or-treating, pictures with Santa Paws, and the upcoming Paint with Your Pup on February 24. We won’t tell if you sneak Spot some popcorn from the old-fashioned, self-serve machine.

Rails End Beer Company*

Rails End Beer Company is ready to greet you with a glass of Oatmeal Milk Stout after you and your pup’s journey through nearby Broomfield Commons Dog Park or Big Dry Creek Dog Park. While you kick back with a cold one, your dog’ll be chomping on free treats and pawrusing the Rails End collars and leashes. Snap some photos of Fido while you’re there, and you may be featured on the brewery’s “Doggos of REBC” Instagram story.

Joyride Brewing*

Roll the windows down and take a joyride with your pup over to Edgewater’s Joyride Brewing. Like its name suggests, everything about the taproom screams fun—from its punchy green paint and drafts like Black Razz Blonde, Antelope Amber Ale, and Ice Cutter Kolsch to its obsession with canine customers. Dog treats are always on tap, and branded leashes, collars, water bowls, and chew toys are in the shop. A few brews and you’ll be stickin’ your head out the window with the best of ‘em.

Comrade Brewing Co.

Comrade Brewing Co. hosts fur-equent fundraisers to benefit Colorado’s furriest residents, such as Yappy Hours, Barks + Brews, and pet photo shoots. Sip creative pints like Koffee Kream Extra, Cheerleader’s Pom-Pom, and Powder Session while your pooch and the dog-lovin’ staff make heart eyes at each other.

Living the Dream Brewing Company*

Great people, great beer, and great times is the motto of this 2014-established brewery. Combining Coloradans’ active, outdoor lifestyles with craft beer, flavors like Powder Run Vanilla Cream Ale and Rail Bender are transposed on skis above the bar.

Lone Tree Brewing Co.

Brews, board games, bow-wows, it’s all here at Lone Tree Brewing Co., a small-batch craft taproom serving up styles like Peach Pale Ale, Mexican Lager, and Red Ale. A water station ensures your pup stays hydrated, too, and perhaps you can share a bite from the rotating lineup of food trucks parked outside.

Odyssey Beerwerks*

What started as a ’90s home-brewing hobby grew into a full-fledged business in 2013 (further proof you should keep financing your pupper’s side hustle). Pull up a chair for spunky sips like Palm Tree Caribbean-Style Lager and Psycho Penguin Vanilla Porter, then sit back while your pupper models in dog portrait sessions the Arvada brewery frequently hosts with professional photogs. Afterwards, she can unwind with a complimentary water bowl and treats.

3 Freaks Brewery

Tail-wagging names like Yoga Pants IPA, Scuba Rick’s Magic Elixer, and Adam’s F%&#in’ Turkey Brown Ale dominate the menu at this Highlands Ranch brewery. While you’re getting your freak on, your pup can enjoy a tour of the taproom hosted by Brewer the Boxer, plenty of water bowls and treats, and a dog bed for that post-buzz crash.

Boggy Draw Brewery*

Just like the trail system it’s named for, Boggy Draw Brewery celebrates what it means to be a Coloradan with brews like Smoke on the Mountain and Elkspresso Coffee Stout, outdoorsy décor, and dog-friendliness to the max (duh). When your furry friend isn’t chillin’ out maxin’ relaxin’ all cool on the doggo beds, she’ll be munchin’ Barley Bites treats made from Boggy Draw’s spent grains.

Discovery Tap House*

Discovery Tap House caters to a wide range of customers with 20-plus taps doling out brews from around the state, but it also goes out of its way to include its four-legged patrons—think dog costume contests, puppy adoption events, and happy hour deals on holidays like National Dress Your Pet Day (or as we like to call it, “An Average Wednesday”).

Grist Brewing Co.*

Your dog can join the pack of Grist Growlerz at this three-location brewery (the Dog-Friendly Indoor Brewery Pass only works at the Highlands Ranch and Lone Tree taprooms), but paws up: If Fido tries to sneak a sip of your Tragic Hipster IPA or Octo Cream Ale, he better have his ID because the staff takes underage puppers at the bar v. seriously.

Holidaily Brewing Co.*

Hoomans, doggos, and even those with celiac disease can have a howling good time at Holidaily Brewing Co., Colorado’s 100 percent gluten-free brewery. If your pup is such a good boi, maybe he’ll even have a beer named after him, like resident Chocolate Lab Peyton’s Porter.

River North Brewery*

Friendly dogs are welcome in the taproom serving up the classics—IPAs, Belgians, lagers, and stouts—every day of the week, but don’t miss the special events that make this brewery an extra-furbulous doggy date night, like Mugshots for Mutts photo sessions and DOGtoberfest in September. Bein’ bad never looked so good.

WestFax Brewing Co.*

Whether your dog’s an art connoisseur or a football fanatic, she’ll fit in with the pack at WestFax, which boasts a gallery wall with local Colorado art, plenty of TVs to catch the big game, and seating galore indoors and out. Keep your ears perked for Yappy Hour events, too. With proceeds benefiting local animal organizations, your dog’ll feel good about letting you order another Urban Lumberjack Hazy IPA.

Resolute Brewing Company

If you missed Resolute’s last Hair of the Dog party on New Year’s Day, don’t get your tail in a twist. This brewery frequently hosts four-legged-friendly events like Yappy Hours and Pawtastic Holiday Photos. Plus, with water bowls and treats always on tap, and two locations in Centennial and Arvada, there’s no reason not to shimmy up to the bar for a frosty Dr. Evil stout.

Launch Pad Brewery

Did your dog graduate at the top of his obedience class? Does he frequently watch The Big Bang Theory? Pawhaps he’s named Sheldon or Howard? Immediately report to Launch Pad Brewery for “rocket fuel” in the form of Kosmonaut Kölsch, Retrograde Red Ale, and Hubble Weizenbock. The beers, complimentary water bowls, and dog-friendliness are outta this world.

Wonderland Brewing

You and your dog will feel like you’ve actually stepped into wonderland at this Broomfield brewery. Snag a Blame It on My Juice IPA or Cherry Gose from the bar before settling in for a game of ping-pong, corn hole, pickleball, or mini-golf. When you’re ready to break for food, you don’t have to worry about those begging puppy dog eyes longing for a bite of your bacon: onsite Wonder Grill also offers a special menu exclusively for furry friends.

Blind Faith Brewing

With fun beer names like Blinded By the Light, Blindfold Stout, and Wink Wink Nudge Nudge; pup-centric events around the howlidays; and spent grain dog treats for sample and sale, we have complete faith you and your dog will make this place your new happy-hour hang.

Liquid Mechanics Brewing Co.

Boasting the motto “a little rebellion is good for the soul,” Liquid Mechanics sounds like the ideal spot for every dog who’s ever stolen a meatball from the table (YOLO). Leave all worries of counter-surfing behind while you gulp down a Peanut Butter Porter or Purple Reign—and if you’ve put said meatball incident in the past, maybe you two’ll even share a meal from the rotating calendar of food trucks.

LandLocked Ales

In contrast to Colorado’s high altitude, LandLocked Ales has made a name for itself with its characteristically lower-alcohol beers that don’t lack anything in flavor. Translation: You and your pup can hang in the taproom longer without needing to call an Uber Pet to get you both home.

Coda Brewing Co.

Don’t tell your pup there’s a drink called Dogcatcher—a red ale with orange blossom honey—on the menu of this Golden brewery. While you enjoy “experimental elixirs” from scientist-turned-brewer Luke Smith, your pup can indulge in complimentary water bowls and treats.

Locavore Beer Works

How much does Locavore Beer Works love pets? Last year, it brewed a beer called Man’s Best Friend in tribute to the dogs and cats of the brewery staff. Stop by for Belgians, pale ales, American lagers, and more, plus water bowls and the occasional treato for Fido.

Endo Brewing Co.

If biking the mountain trails is your dog’s peanut butter and jam, get your gear in tip-top shape for the season with a stop at Endo Brewing. While you and your floof relax with a Fuzzy Bunny blonde ale and a trough of doggy treats, the staff’ll repair tires, brakes, wheels, and more (not that anyone would chew anything like that up or anything–looking at you, Biscuit).
