Chicago Weekend: Puppy Bowl Parties, Morton Arboretum, & More

We made it to February but we sure hope you didn’t quit your new year’s resolution to take your pup to more fun places! It’s all about (puppy) love this season, so treat your special fur-end to a dog date this weekend.

Show Some Love: Valentine’s Portrait Pop Up! (10 a.m. to 2 p.m, Saturday, February 1) What you and you dog have is more than just puppy love, so what better way to commemorate than some portraits? You and your pup can model for the talented Mandy Dempsey Photography and choose your two favorites to be retouched. We *totally* get that you can’t just choose two, so additional portraits are available at an extra fee. Your $60 sitting fee will benefit K9 for Keeps

Dog Day Saturday Afternoon (1 to 5 p.m., Saturday, February 1) It’s bring-your-dog-to-drink day at Sidetrack, The Video Bar! Once a month, they open their doors to the pups who like to party and Tito’s Handmade Vodka will be paw-pping in with some fun dog swag!

Dog Admission Day (7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Sunday, February 2) Get some tails on the trails of The Morton Arboretum. Leash up your furry friend and try to explore all 16 miles of nature! Just make sure pooch is pup to date on vaccines and registrations.

Puppy Bowl at OGS (11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday February 2) Your bestie’s gonna need to brunch up before the big game and Old Grounds Social has you covered with the doggie brunch menu on its covered patio. Heck, you can even get a Puppy Bowl Puptail for the occasion. RSVP to let ‘em know you and your dog’s big appetite’ll be there.

Puppy Bowl XVI Viewing Party (2 to 4:30 p.m., Sunday, February 2) Join One Tail at a Time at Park & Field for their annual Puppy Bowl viewing pawty! Bring your dog to watch the big game and meet his favorite OTAT’s alumni athlete, Bevil, from “Team Ruff”. The $10 suggested donation’ll help more pups find their forever homes and that’s a win no matter what team you’re digging.
