Post-Earthquake Outing
We had an earthquake Friday night, and it was a big one! My human says it wasn’t that big, but it’s the biggest one I ever felt! I never bothered with the small ones before, but with this one, I ran downstairs and shot under the bed! It took my human a few minutes (and some treats) to calm me down so that I stayed on top of the bed.
By the next day, I’d pretty much forgotten about it, but my human wanted to make sure everything was back to normal for me. So she took me out front for a while. Fortunately, the smoke from the fires (not close to us, but close enough to affect the air quality) had cleared up a lot, and it was pleasant outside.
It was awesome to get some outside time. And it was nice to not have the house (inside and outside) smell like a campfire!
We went all the way to very front of the front yard and paused while I did some tricks.
I also checked out the tree in the corner of our property, and rubbed on it a bunch.
I also did some birdie watching! I had a really nice time outside. I hope the smoke continues to disappear so I can go out more again.
My human said I deserved a high five! She says she can’t promise no more earthquakes, but she does promise to keep me as safe as she possibly can.
