Scruffy Paws Nutrition Supplements Promote Good Health for Cats #Sponsored

As a cat parent, I want my cats to be healthy. Now that Ernie and Zoey are senior cats with various health issues, I look for ways to help keep them as healthy as I can. One way to do this is by giving supplements when needed for added support to their systems. Just like with Scruffy Paws Nutrition logohumans, vitamin supplements can help keep our pets healthy. I take a multi-vitamin every day…why shouldn’t my cats?

Recently I was contacted by Scruffy Paws Nutrition, a cat-loving company that makes tasty and wholesome nutritional supplements designed to help with certain health conditions that affect cats.

Now I know there are a lot of companies out there selling pet supplements so how do you decide which one is best for your cat? With Scruffy Paws, I learned that each of their supplements has been formulated with the help of leading veterinarians, holistic experts, feline nutritionists and backed by the latest scientific research. Scruffy Paws doesn’t just tell you what they put in the supplement, they also tell you why and provide links to nationally recognized scientific studies. I like knowing why a particular ingredient is used, and that I’m giving something that’s designed correctly to help with the specific health condition I want to treat. I can honestly say Scruffy Paws really cares about feline health.

Ernie with Scruffy Paws Hairball Be Gone treats

Ernie has been having an issue with hairballs recently…which surprised me since he is a short-haired cat. This just shows you that even short-haired cats can get hairballs. I ordered the Scruffy Paws Hairball Be Gone treats to try with him. What’s nice is that Scruffy Paws explains how each ingredient contained in these treat helps to get rid of hairballs. These treats contain:

  • Lecithin which helps hydrate skin and fur
  • Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids that helps with digestion and healthy skin
  • Biotin which keeps skin healthy
  • Zinc and psyllium both which help the digestive system

I like that these hairball treats are made of vitamins and minerals that will not only help with hairballs but with overall health as well.

What they don’t contain are things like mineral oil and laxatives which some hairball treats have. Those things can prevent nutrients from being properly absorbed and upset digestion.

I’ve been giving Ernie one Hairball Be Gone treat a day for the past week. They’re not real soft so I break them up so they are easier to eat. So far, they seem to be helping. He hasn’t coughed up a hairball lately.

Scruffy Paws Nutrition products

Some of the other supplements Scruffy Paws offers are:

  • Kidney Vitalize chews which are formulated to support the kidneys. We know that kidney disease is one of the most common health conditions that affects senior cats.
  • Hip and Joint Vitalize to help with sore and arthritic joints.
  • UT Wellness chews to keep the urinary tract healthy.
  • Scrub and Shine Dental Powder for dental health and hygiene. Good dental health is so important for overall health.
  • Multi Vitamin chews that provide vitamins, minerals and nutrients for overall good health.

Now I have to caution…supplements should not take the place of veterinary prescribed medicines or treatments. And I recommend that before starting your cat on any supplement, you discuss it with your vet first.

But supplements can provide added support (hey, that’s why they’re called supplements!) to help with the overall health of your cat. And I think Scruffy Paws offers some of the best, well-thought out supplements I’ve seen.

You can learn more about Scruffy Paws supplements by visiting their website. While there, check out their Knowledge Base where they discuss various feline health conditions. I found this to be very helpful information and shows how dedicated Scruffy Paws is to keeping cats healthy.
