Chip or Treat 2019 at Tabby's Place

Hello, and Happy Friday! A few weeks ago our mom attended a very fun event and I can't wait to tell you all about it!

On October 26 Tabby's Place held their second annual Chip or Treat, and the sanctuary was decorated just purrfectly!

There were lots of yummy refreshments, including hot apple cider.

Visitors had fun trick or treating with the cats.

The hallways were packed!

The staff, volunteers and visitors had fabulous costumes! There was a costume contest at the end of the day.

Mommy said she went dressed as a blogger. Don't tell her I said so, but that's kind of boring.

The cats had a wonderful time! Many of them got their cute on for the visitors...

While some decided they didn't want their nap time disturbed.

Visitors were given a map of the sanctuary for their self-guided tours.

The cats loved seeing all the people!

Tabby's had lots of cool stuff for sale, including t-shirts, magnets, catnip toys, tote bags and more!

There was even a selfie booth. No, Mommy didn't take any selfies.

Anka, a special needs cat that came all the way from Turkey, enjoyed working the crowd in his stroller.

He's a handsome cat!

The main event was FREE microchipping or chip check for both cats and dogs. That's right, I said free, and I said dogs. Mommy said all of the dogs she saw were very well behaved, and as long as they were calm they were invited to join the festivities in the lobby.

Forty six pets were microchipped that day; 33 cats and 13 dogs. Pre-registration was recommended, but five of the pets were walk-ins. Microchipping is so important!

Of course, I can't write a post about Tabby's without talking about our sponsor sister, Rose. Mommy brought Rosie one of her favorite things in the world - nip nanners!

Doesn't she look cute with her little diapie on her bum? Love you, Rosie!

The staff and volunteers put on a wonderful event. Kids did trick or treating, people ate yummy treats, the cats enjoyed visitors, and pets got microchipped. A fun time was had by all.

We'll have some more photos of the TP kitties from Mommy's visit in an upcoming post.

Is your pet microchipped? Do you sponsor a cat at Tabby's Place? If you do, let us know who!
