Shelter Dogs and Cats Receive Special Thanksgiving Feast
On Monday, volunteers and employees at Cumberland Animal Shelter got together to bring a Thanksgiving feast to the nearly 200 dogs and cats waiting for their forever homes. A special menu was created for the residents and pulled together from donations from the public.
On the Thanksgiving Menu
The 100 resident dogs enjoyed chicken, turkey, green beans, carrots, sweet potatoes and apples. And while not the most traditional Thanksgiving fare, the 85 cats indulged in sardines and tuna.
