Mews and Nips: The Unplugged Version
Today’s abbreviated issue of Mews and Nips does not have a lead story, because we will be unplugging for most of the weekend and I didn’t have time to pull one together while we were getting ready. As you’re reading this, I will be recharging my batteries at the beautiful weekend house of friends. The house is surrounded by trees, with a view of the river. The only sounds you hear there are the wind in the trees and the sounds of birds and other wild critters. There is cell phone reception, but no Wifi, so other than checking for updates from my wonderful cat sitter, I plan to not even look at my phone. Allegra and Ruby will be doing a lot of this when they’re not having fun with our cat sitter:
If you missed any of the stories featured on the Conscious Cat this week, here’s a recap: on Monday, we reported on a study that shows that cats are getting increasingly heavy, on Tuesday, we featured a clever combination window perch and scratching post from PetFusion, on Wednesday, I showed you some photos of Allegra and Ruby’s quest for the purrfect sun puddles, on Thursday, we celebrated the 10th anniversary of the publication of Buckley’s Story: Lessons from a Feline Master Teacher, and on Friday, we reviewed the latest story in Gwen Cooper’s Curl Up With a Cat Tale series, Just BeClaws.
I love the videos in the Dodo’s “Soulmates” series. Today’s video of an adventurous little kitten is sure to warm your heart – enjoy!
Have a great weekend!
