Mews and Nips: Gracie the Adventure Cat

gracie-adventure-cat

Mike Usher heard a kitten’s faint cries seemingly coming from inside a wall while taking care of his uncle’s house on St. John in the US Virgin Islands. After looking for six days, he found the kitten, cleaned her up, and fed her. Once they took a minute to look at each other, it was love at first sight. Mike loves to hike and swim, and couldn’t bear the thought of leaving Gracie behind, so he trained her to join him on his adventures. Read more about the pair on the Animal Rescue Site blog, or follow their adventures on Instagram.

If you missed any of the stories featured on the Conscious Cat this week, here’s a recap: on Monday, we featured a comprehensive article on all forms of aggression cats, on Tuesday, we reviewed Hound and Gatos canned food, on Wednesday, Dr. Marci Koski answered behavior questions, on Thursday, we featured an adorable Halloween themed Bat Cat Scratcher, and on Friday, we featured Hannah Shaw’s new children’s book, Kitten Lady’s Big Book of Little Kittens.
