Jimmy JV83 Cordless Stick Vacuum Product Review

The Jimmy JV83 Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner is the 4th cordless stick vacuum I have reviewed and so far, my favorite. This thing has really powerful suction – 21Kpa/150AW. It has 500W Digital Motor 100,000RMP Speed with a detachable lithium battery and a 2-Year warranty. It also comes with a multitude of attachments and a few extra things like an angular attachment and hose attachment for those hard to reach places.

Let’s first talk about the crazy powerful suction – it picked up fine dust, pet hair, crumbs, etc. from tile and hardwood floors effortlessly – it also works fairly well on low-pile carpets, but definitely not on high-pile carpets. It still doesn’t get into carpet fibers, as the JV51 did not. It’s the no-hair wrap brush roll that doesn’t get into the fibers of a carpet like a standard brush roll would.

The anti-hair wrap brush roll is great for getting cat hair off a comforter or an ottoman or a couch – without having to worry about snagging a thread of the fabric on the piece of furniture, which is nice.

JV 83 Battery

The 7 x 2500mAh Li-ion battery can work for single hand-held time ( min ): approx. 11 / 30 / 60 minutes, handheld + electric brush usage time ( min ): approx. 9 / 20 / 40 minutes.

I ran the vacuum on full speed to see how long it would last – 9 minutes and 49 seconds. Pretty impressive. I was able to vacuum my first and second floors – a quick vacuum, not as thorough as I would have done with my Oreck – moving furniture and what not. But that’s why I love these cordless stick vacuums – they are great for the in-between vacuuming with your trusted upright.

Like other cordless stick vacs we have reviewed, it is lightweight. The main machine weights only 3.3lb. It features a 65° ergonomic angle and moved effortlessly so you don’t have to rotate your wrists too much.

Filtration System

It has a 4-stage high efficiency filtration system:

a metal mesh filter,
a cyclone separator
a HEPA filter
filter cotton

The high speed rotating airflow removes particles from air. The high-density HEPA removes up to 99.97% of microscopic dust particles as small as 0.3 microns.
