Ask US Anything: Oxygen for Cats, In-Wash Fur Removal Products and Cat Breath
Our “Ask US Anything” is a series of posts on the site where I share the questions/concerns/ideas that readers have sent in and then the responses from our readers about those questions/concerns/ideas.
Oxygen for Cats
Carol wrote in, “I’m writing to ask if you have any information about setting up at home oxygen for cats. My sister’s 11 yr old Ragdoll cat, Cashmere, has been diagnosed with congestive heart failure and is having increasingly frequent episodes of shortness of breath which responds to oxygen at the vets. They have been advised to get an oxygen tent at home and are having a great deal of difficulty finding a tent they can afford and even in securing the oxygen. The medical supply places they call have never heard of oxygen for cats and unfortunately the vet is not helping them at all except to write a prescription for the oxygen.
I’m wondering if you have any information at all that would help her as she is devastated and anything you know would be very welcome and appreciated.”
I replied:
“I am sorry to hear about your sister’s kitty.

I replied, “I have not – yet! I have them in my own Amazon cart though! I have also wondered about the FurZapper”

Ragdoll Cat Breath
Nirihan wrote in asking, “Hello. have a question. my rag doll cats breath are starting to stink more. and we dont want to get it done for 200 each! and would want to try and do it ourselves. does anyone brush their cats teeth and have a success at it? and if so, any tips/brush/toothpaste you use on them? they already kinda hate getting their nails trimmed, so not sure how this will go lol. my husband will be the one brushing their teeth if anything. any tips/advice? thank you”
I posed the question to our Facebook page:
