Mews and Nips: Archaelogists Find Huge Cat Carved Into Hillside 2,000 Years Ago
I don’t usually get excited about archeological finds, but this one had me awestruck. A huge feline figure carved into an arid hillside more than 2,000 years ago has been discovered in southern Peru. The geoglyph measures 121 feet across and is part of the Nazca Lines, a collection of hundreds of mysterious artworks etched onto a plateau 250 miles south of Lima. For the story of how the giant cat was discovered, visit SCNOW.com.
If you missed any of the stories featured on the Conscious Cat this week, here’s a recap: on Sunday, we reflected on the importance of not giving up, on Monday, we told you about Holistic Actions, a website chock full of resources to help you take better care of your cats, on Tuesday, we reviewed the Lil Paws 5-in-1 carrier, on Wednesday, I shared a memory of Ruby, and on Friday, we reviewed the young adult novel Catalyst.
