They usually won’t grow larger than 7-8 inches, and their weight never seems to exceed 3kg. Their size is one of their main attractions and they literally can go everywhere with you.

There are a number of benefits for having a small sized dog instead of a big one. Smaller ones are easily adaptable to living in smaller spaces, so if you live in a city apartment, then you most likely wouldn’t be allowed to keep a large dog in the building.

Another benefit is the cost of feeding them. Being such small dogs, they would not eat as much as some of the larger breeds, therefore they are more economical options. Their size also makes them easier to handle and to manage when compared to some of the larger breeds of dog.

Whatever type of dog you plan to get as a pet, it is important that you, and your family, are aware of the responsibilities that come with having a pet in the house such as their wellbeing, health and role in your family.
