Will You Adopt Me? Meet Divya - She Found Herself in Dire Straights After Being Abandoned on the Street
Divya is another one of my favorite cats at Tabby's. (I say that a lot, don't I?!) Her home is the lobby, and she is proud to be their reception cat. Whenever I want to see her I know I have to go to the reception desk where she is happily greeting visitors.
When Divya found her way to Tabby's in 2014, the medical staff wasn't sure she would make it. Divya lived a happy life as an indoor cat since she was a kitten - until her owner passed away. She was abandoned outside because no one in the family wanted to be responsible for her care. Not knowing how to find food for herself she began to starve, which resulted in the development of fatty liver disease. And in her case, it was quite severe. With all the love and care she received from the staff, Divya made a miraculous, full recovery in a few weeks.
A good-hearted person found Divya collapsed in her backyard and rushed her to the emergency hospital. It was evident that Divya would have a long road to recovery, and luckily she found herself at the sanctuary for her convalescence.
This beautiful black and white girl is 11 years old and is described as friendly and independent. She would love a forever home where she can enjoy her retirement years and would be a wonderful addition to any family. I have a list of cats that I always look for when I visit, and Divya has a place at the top.
If you're interested in adopting Divya, you can fill out the online adoption application or print out a fillable one.
