The Best Dog Menus in the U.S.

Pandemics may come and go (please go!), but your dog’s desire for refined culinary experiences is forever. And while she loves blessing her numerous favorite dog-friendly patios, nothing beats a menu designed exclusively with her exquisite palate in mind.
From muttloaf to pup-loving pizza, ice cream, and more, we sniffed out the best dog menus across the country who are still servin’ up noms for the good boys and girls. (Road trip, anyone?)
Minneapolis/St Paul
Starting in the Twin Cities (Sidewalk Dog HQ!), there’s a host of stops that’ll have Spot licking his chops. Consider the three-course Canine Cuisine menu, featured at several pawesome local restaurants: Stanley’s Northeast Bar Room in NE Minneapolis, Pub 819 in Hopkins (both currently open on the patio), and The Howe Daily Kitchen & Bar in South Minneapolis (open for rezzos on the patio or available for takeout). AND the newest, dog-friendliest of them all, The Block SLP (patio is open with limited seating). This menu features beef marrow bone or smoked pig’s ear appetizers from Von Hanson’s, a choice of entree, and a non-dairy Izzy’s nutty butter banana pupcream sundae just for pups. Stanley’s recently started offering a dog-friendly pizza on their patio, too. Talk about a T-R-E-A-T.
At all four spots, pups get treated to a scratch-made Nilla Woofer, on the house. And of course, fresh bowls of water and comfy yoga mats are always free for your four-legged friend. Also, their dog menu is available for delivery online & via Bite Squad!
When you’re done chowing your way through that three-course menu, the dog offerings at Rock Elm Tavern (open for reservations on the patio), featuring tempting Farmina brand dog food, are also worth a major woof.
Another pupular option on the dog menu scene, the Robert Street location of local favorite Keys Cafe (open on the patio, reservations preferred!) offers a selection of delicious treatos from Chuck & Don’s.
Room for dessert? Head to one of the Twin Cities’ dog-friendly ice cream spots like Rolling Rover Bistro, offering Liver Lickers–frozen yogurt served out of a waffle bowl made from beef liver.
Chicago
Chi-doggos’ll be glad to know that patios are open and they can once again get the royal treatment at Siena Tavern, Public House, Bar Siena, and Barrio. The Puppy Ciao Menu includes dog-friendly entrees such as chicken breast, a burger patty, and skirt steak, plus a dairy-free Woof-Cream dessert. All entrees are grilled with extra virgin olive oil and no added seasoning.
Benchmark, Ranalli’s, WestEnd, Federales, and Kirkwood Bar & Grill all feature fantastic pup menus on the patio (all of which are open for parties of 6 or less!), featuring pairings like chicken and burgers plus homemade treats. These restos are actually willing to serve dogs anything on the menu, which to be honest they totally deserve.
If you find yourself in the Gold Coast, Bistronomic (open for reservations) offers elevated eats for humans and indulgent Puppy Plate options for pups, with the latter ranging from simple eats like a Chicago Dog or ground beef with vegetables and fresh pasta, to far fancier options like a flat iron steak or beef tenderloin. Your fur baby will feel extra-pampered after enjoying a tasty meal on the dog-friendly outdoor terrace.
Denver
The aptly named Watering Bowl has a dog menu, tons of vegan and vegetarian options, and a line of benevolent Rescue Brews: Labrador Lager, Golden Retriever Ale, Great Dane IPA, and Rottweiler Wheat. And you can feel good about getting another round because 10% of all Rescue Brew sales benefit local puppers. Did we mention their large, off-leash dog park with doggie pools, water toys, and tons of shade?
If your buddy has a sweet tooth, pop over to Shake Shack in RiNo for a Puccini dog sundae, treats, and welcoming dog-friendly patio.
Just outside of Denver, Lazy Dog Restaurant’s two locations in Aurora and Westminster offer heated patios and dog menus featuring brown rice, pup-friendly burger patties, and grilled chicken.
Seattle
Purple Cafe & Wine Bar has a Purple Patio Pup menu featuring scrumptious noms like a Pupcup (frozen banana slices, peanut butter, whipped cream), grilled chicken, and a Bag O’ Bones. Psst: enter to win our giveaway!
New York
Next time you and your pup find yourselves in the Big Apple, consider a stop at Forrest Point, a corner bar currently open for to-go orders. This spot will treat you to eclectic eats while you treat your pup to a mouthwatering peanut butter-stuffed marrow bone (with your pup’s choice of crunchy or smooth, naturally).
If your pal is more interested in a hearty meal, consider ordering delivery from Boulton & Watt so he can feast on a Fluffy Mutt Flank Steak just for him.
California
If you find yourself in sunny San Diego, we wholeheartedly recommend a stop at Pacific Beach mainstay Backyard Kitchen & Tap for some simple pup-friendly eats like a burger patty with yellow rice or a selection of house-made dog biscuits. This spot often throws dog-themed events and adoption parties, too, so buying your meal would be supporting an especially pup-loving joint.
Atlanta
If you want your pup to experience the full Saturday brunch experience, Bistro Niko in Atlanta (open for reservations) has a full dog menu complete with complementary beverages. Have your fur baby try a Dirty Dog Martini (chicken stock + water), then move on to a delicious entree like beef short rib stew or sliced chicken. If you’re feeling extra-fancy, you can also treat your pup to real filet mignon.
