Mews and Nips: Remy the Harvard Cat

Remy-harvard-cat

For the past four years, Remy has been visiting Harvard University and roaming the campus. “He has been in student dorms, at parties, attended lectures, and taken photos with tourists in Harvard Yard,” says his owner, Cambridge resident Sarah Watton. The Wattons live about a mile from campus and say that Remy’s penchant to wander started when he was young. They tried leash walking him, but by the time he turned a year old, they gave up on trying to stop his excursions. Students and faculty are watching out for him, and he even has his own Facebook  page. There’s no word on when Remy will receive his Harvard degree. For more about Remy, please visit the Harvard Gazette.

If you missed any of the stories featured on the Conscious Cat this week, here’s a recap: on Monday, we addressed the topic of an increase in obesity in America’s cats, on Tuesday, we told you how to keep your cats cozy this winter with the Sleepypod  Mobile Pet Bed, on Wednesday, Allegra and Ruby shared how they handle sharing my lap, on Thursday, we featured beautiful padded cat shelves, and on Friday, we shared an adorable cat book reading light with you.

Today’s video of a kitty being tucked in will melt your heart – enjoy!
