Well, papa has asked mama for a date tonight and of course she has no idea where they are going, but I will be certain to report tomorrow.

Those two are nutty for dates!  I mean going on them, not the fruit.  Or is it a fruit?

They used to call a certain kind of date a “whisk”, as in being whisked …
