Transdermal B12 for Cats: How to Give a Cat a B12 Shot in Hind Leg Area

I took this video during Caymus’ most recent visit to the vet. Our all cat vet has suggested that my mom give her 14-year old (almost 15) Ragdoll cats, Caymus and Murphy, B12 injections once a week due to their early stage renal disease. 10 years ago, I gave Rags B12 shots behind his neck – and now they suggest behind the hind leg for quicker absorption.

 

I took this video mostly for my mom and I to reference when we are giving him the injections, but thought it might help someone else, so am sharing it on the site.
