My Fun Cat Show Weekend in Ontario (California)

I had a lot of fun at the cat show this weekend! When I say it was in Ontario, I always feel the need to add, “California” because so many people think of the Ontario that is up in Canada! Chances are I won’t be doing any cat shows up there — it is way too far — and even if I did, it probably would not be in January!

Although my human brought a bunch of my clothes for the show, I only wore a few outfits. Most of the time people just wanted to touch my soft fur and watch me do tricks. I did wear this cute harness dress. I have had it for years, but it’s been so long since I’ve worn it, it’s almost like new!

Combining my pink hoodie with my pink sunglasses was an inspired move, if I do say so myself!

There is a reason I was wearing my lion’s mane! My human had taken out some treats to give me for some tricks — and I stole them all before she had a chance to put me through my paces! So she put the lion’s mane on me for the tricks, since she said I had gotten paid in advance. I didn’t mind, really, plus it drew a crowd! Anything that earns me some attention is a good thing!

Of course, the cat show wasn’t all petting and tricks and outfits! I also took lots of nap breaks.

My nephew Obie was also at the show, in competition! He is ten months old now, and already a Grand in CFA. My human had a really hard time taking photos of him because he was so active in the judging rings! He was constantly in motion, having a great time with the judges.

He wound up getting finals in eight out of ten rings — including one Best Cat! And he was competing against more than 80 other cats this weekend. He is doing really well in both CFA and TICA.
