Twin Cities Dog Bakeries That’ll Have Pup Drooling

WOOFDA, pups. I know we’re not alone in feeling like 2020 has been quite a year. On the one paw, your hoomans have been home all day every day for months, but on the other paw, somehow they still find ways to be too busy to play! #WhatTheH*ck. At least they’ve needed a lot of snuggles lately.

Things are ruff for us all, so we say it’s time to TREAT YOURSELF! We’ve sniffed out some Twin Cities dog bakeries where you and your pawrents can eat your feelings.

Smallcakes | Savage

The perfect combo for you and your pooch, Smallcakes in Savage has a menu of specialty cupcake and ice cream flavors longer than your tail, including their very own Pupcake. Their slogan begs the question, “Maybe a cupcake will help?” Yes. Yes it will. Smallcakes is open 7 days a week for both curbside and in-store pickup; call ahead for same-day orders.

Just Dogs! Gourmet | Online

Prob gonna have to try all the other flavors just to be sure… | Camylla Battani

Did puppers’ ears just perk up? Maybe she heard that this South St. Paul-based bakery is hard at work every day making a bootiful variety of treats just for her. Even better: all of this yumminess is available online. Pup prefers to stay home in her cuddle pile and let the bundt cakes come to her.

Wag N’ Wash | Eagan

If your BFF’s feeling a little scruffy around the edges, give him his own little spaw day at Eagan’s Wag N’ Wash. Start out by treating his furbulous self to a wash and trim, and then let him finish the day with a peanut butter pie from their Gourmet Dog Bakery. We’re getting puppin’ jealous over here! Wag N’ Wash is currently open, but offers delivery for high-risk guests and curbside pickup for everypawdy.

Nadia Cakes | Woodbury and Maple Grove

Smol pupperinos and big floofers alike will be wagging their tails about Nadia Cakes’ pupcakes. Made with peanut butter, apples, bananas, and a few other drooly ingredients, they’re available daily in both regular and mini portions for appetites of any size. Nadia Cakes is currently open for walk-up service and delivery only. They also offer nationwide shipping.

Urban Tails Pet Supply | Minneapolis

Curled up in the heart of Minneapolis’ Uptown neighborhood, Urban Tails Pet Supply not only has your chimkin treat needs covered, but their dog bakery carries a selection of cookies that are sure to see you on your best good boi behavior just in case.

Barkley’s Bistro | Local Farmers Markets and Online

For our foodie frens with something a little more savory in mind, follow your nose to Barkley’s Bistro, home of their world famous Smokey Bones. These hickory-smoked beef bones, which are all-natural and always preservative-free, come in small, medium, and large sizes to safely match the size of your canine (since her eyes are always bigger than her belly). Follow Barkley’s Bistro on Facebook to get regular updates about where they’ll be puppin’ up next!
