5 Seattle-Area Dog Bakeries to Find Sweets for your Sweets

Milk Bones from the grocery store? Come on: your prince or princess deserves handmade delicacies specifically whipped up for their species. Before you scoff, yes, dog bakeries not only exist, but THRIVE here in the greater Seattle area. Sniff out some of our favorites.

1. Seattle Barkery

Perhaps the most notable of the local dog bakeries, the Barkery has multiple locations (a Treat Trailer, Treat Truck, Treat Shop, and Treat Bar) and is especially known for its adorable dog birthday cakes. We can’t even:

2. Puddles Barkery

“It’s all about the dogs” is Puddles’ motto, and DANG if we can’t relate to that! Puddles makes natural dog treats right here in Seattle, but also ships around the world if you don’t want to go into a store right now. Pro tip: Their sampler pack makes the perfect gift for your dog-loving friends.

3. Prim and Pawper Pets

Combining a grooming service with a treat shop, Prim and Pawper is your pup’s worst fear and their most magical dream. Purchase fancy one-offs for special occasions, or grab a package of small-batch treats if you’ve found a favorite for your furball (we highly suggest the pupcakes or gourmet donuts).

4. Downtown Dog Lounge Bakery

A barkery for them, and a bakery for you! Win win, if you ask us. Open seven days a week, grab a fresh baked treat for your hunny and a latte for yourself. Located inside the popular doggy daycare center, the DDL Bakery even hosts socially distanced meetups if your four-legged friend is missing canine interaction. They also allow online ordering.

5. The Dining Dog

This one goes out to all those diehard pup-parents, for whom one (albeit homemade) treat isn’t enough. This Lynnwood establishment is dedicated to giving dogs the “Royal Treatment”: a four-course meal, doggie cocktail, appetizer tray, entree, and choice off the dessert cart. No, we’re not kidding. Their goal is to “provide all doggies a unique dining experience.” That, they do! Parties are held on Saturdays only, and rezzies are mandatory.
